Back in 2002 we decided to try and do something to help contribute to the nation rebuilding efforts in our home country of Bosnia and Hercegovina after the devastation that we Bosnian’s wrecked on each other in the late 1990’s. We realized that the fundamental foundation could only be rebuilding civil society in particular through promotion of multiculturalism and the development of new, electronic and written media.

Together with some close and dear friends we launched Bosnia Express.

Initially our efforts concentrated on establishing a dynamic and regularly up dated E-Zine. We have since developed into carrying out fund raising events and other charitable projects.

We are here to bring all people of Bosnia and Herzegovina together, including those people living in the Diaspora, through new media (internet), culture, information and other multiethnic promotional content in BiH and wider areas. We also work on raising funds for people who need help the most and organising activities that promote humanism and solidarity among young people. We are promoting gender equality by stimulating more women to enter the media workplace and through organising lectures on gender equality.

The struggle to raise funds has been enormous and to date we have funded the background admin costs from our own pockets. As Bosnia and Hercegovina takes it’s next precarious steps to join the European family of nations our work is all the more important.
